CHARLES EDWARD HARRISON

 

Mr. Charles Edward Harrison, age 92 of Grapeland, passed away Monday, April 21, 2014 at his residence. Mr. Harrison was born November 21, 1921 in Crockett, Texas and had lived his lifetime in Grapeland. Mr. Harrison was a veteran of the U. S. Navy having served during World War II.  

Mr. Harrison was retired having worked in the highway construction business and attended the Baptist Church. Mr. Harrison enjoyed fishing, ranching and coffee and conversation with good friends, “The Romeos.”

Survivors include his grandchildren Debbie Adams and husband Bob, of New Jersey, Larry Nickey and wife Sacille, of Port Angeles, Oregon, Donna Serna and husband Johnny, Steve Nickey and wife Angie, all of El Paso; son-in-law Jim Arnold, of El Paso; great-grandchildren Justin Serna, Mark Adams, Jeff Adams, Shaelan Nickey and Truett Nickey.  

Preceded in death by his wife Callie Lee “Jane” Harrison; and daughter Ann Nickey Arnold.

Funeral Services for Mr. Charles Edward Harrison will be held Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Bill Jones officiating.  Interment will follow in the Evergreen Memorial Park.  

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of East Texas, 4111 University Blvd., Tyler, Texas  75701.
